To help the next generation of entrepreneurs, Adam takes time to help start up business owners to plan and grow.
"Starting out is difficult, I've done it several times and failed HARD. I want to help people going through this to prevent needless pain. Working as a Virgin Mentor is extremely rewarding and I have met some great people along the way."
The charity sector is under constant pressure to deliver great outcomes with little resource. Adam started working with CANW in 2020 and after being a Trustee for 1 year he then took on the role as Vice Chair in 2022.
"CANW is one of the largest child oriented charities in the UK. With it's size comes complexity, working across sectors such as Young Carers, Youth Justice, Foster Carers and Emotional Health & Wellbeing to name a few. The work is important to the North of England and beyond and is deeply rewarding.
As someone who is obsessed with delivering beyond client expectations, I manage each project from start to finish and will always be the accessible point of contact for any client. In situations where the solution would be complimented by involving a field expert, I call on my associate network to build the strongest team possible, to deliver exactly what my clients require from a business and management consultant
Based in the U.K, with board level experience across Europe and North America, The New Perspective welcomes international enquiries and enjoys sharing new techniques.
As a student of one of the leading Business Schools in Europe, (Vlerick Business School - Belgium) and a beneficiary of Leadership in Management (delivered by the Leadership Trust), I have developed sound business principles and have the methods to embed them within my clients organisation.
Having worked in the corporate world since leaving the Royal Marines in 2005, I have benefited from working in a variety of roles throughout Operations, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing and Management - both in manufacturing and in contracting. This has given me a rounded understanding of business and the highlighted the importance each department plays in making a company successful.
I have worked on major change management projects, merging PE and PLC businesses with a combined turnover in excess of £40M. Changes of this size bring complexity and uncertainty, however, they also present an opportunity for review, greater ambition and accelerated growth.
My business acumen is supported by the ethos and skills I learnt as a Royal Marine: teamwork, discipline, cheerfulness in the face of adversity and a method of communication that allows me to connect with a diverse spectrum of individuals.
This period of my life built my character and made me appreciate the diversity our country offers and how important it is to get to know people and their drivers.
There is nothing more important to me than gaining a thorough understanding of a project or clients needs. That being the case, when I partner with a company I conduct an immersive consultation in order to understand how I can make the most efficient impact. This is done without cost to clients!
My three step process is as follows:
1. Understanding your objective and build a sincere relationship
2, Learn about your business through an immersive consultation across your business
3, Create a proposal and collaborate with you on the delivery methods and timeframes
"All the aspects of the mentoring with Adam worked really well as the foundations of my needs were met. These included being able to connect and trust Adam with information which I would not normally share with other business leaders.
Understanding that Adam had first hand experience at all levels of a business, and therefore was able to relate to my situation. Evidence of Adam's success and growth experience gave me confidence in being able to achieve growth too.
Having these aspects provides a safe place to be open minded to questions and thoughts, which, in turn will open opportunity!
I also think Adam's youthfulness helps, as this shows he's not in semi-retirement mode like some other business consultants, which is encouraging he still has fire in his belly."
Nicola Dugdale - Managing Director - Specialist Training
"Adam is the kind of professional, you want to have on board. He is a best-in-class team leader and is so focused on achieving business targets, that he just makes things happen. He can manage local business as well as being key player on global projects, not only from building the business plan itself but, the execution. I will recommend Adam to anyone looking for a strong senior executive, hard-working, commercial and down-to earth professional.”
Maria Quintas - Head of Division - Eurofins
